Here at the meat chickens. I don't have a calendar or a brain handy but they were born June 9th..so you do the math.
So far I've lost 7 or so. Some squished by the feeders, some squished by each other, and some just died of who knows what.
They all look pretty healthy except one little runt of the bunch, and are now allowed to venture outside to the enclosed pen.
Here they are inside the coop.
During the day I've rigged up a way to allow more air flow. 100 or so chickens are kinda stinky.
This is the outside pen. Next week they will get to roam around on the grass. They will have until August 27th, and then into freezers all over the county they go!!!!
