Ontario Health Care is the Best

So I've been sick with 'strep throat' since Saturday. Nothing horrible, but enough that I went to the doctor to see if I should go on Antibiotics. I usually get it every year so I am pretty sure that is what it is. Normally I would tough it out, but being pregos I was not sure if I should leave it.

This is what happened...

First, the nurse taking the preliminary complaint felt it unnecessary that my temperature be taken, and necessary to weigh me. Nothing like weighing a pregnant lady when she is not feeling so great. Thanks for that. And Thanks for obviously having a scale that is just...not...right.

Second, this is what the Doc told me after 45 minutes of waiting for him...."Well, you may have strep throat...or you may not."

Brilliant. Thanks for that.

Glad I came in.

I guess I'll just continue to gargle my salt water.

At least the visit was covered by health care. I could not imagine being American and having to have paid for that fantastic advice.

Hope you feel better soon...it's never fun to be sick, especially with kiddos and pregnant!
