Sneak Peaks

The dining room is painted and pretty much put back together now. I still have some things I want to do before the room is how I want it. Of course...will I ever be completely satisfied?? probably not, but it will be complete enough that I'll show it to you.

But not now. Sorry...

Instead...Here is a sneak peek at the colour. That's all you get for now. Torture I know.

Actually...today was a GREAT day. I organized, and put away a TON of stuff. The weather is still cold so I can ignore outside chores for a while, but the sun is out putting me in serious spring cleaning mode. So...I decided to paint this dresser that holds all the kids hats/mitts and stuff. I found it on the side of the road and it has needed paint for the two years we have had it.
I went with some left over Trim paint, and covered the drawers with wallpaper. I have yet to add the handles back on, but I think I'll hold off and buy some fun ones. What do you think??

I am AMAZED at the energy I have when the sun is out.

Fantastic idea to use wallpaper on the front of the drawers. I'm going to steal that one for Ella's dresser! Wallpaper's making a comeback (according to the design shows my children allow mt to occasionally watch if I ask very nicely and offer a bribe).

The dresser looks AWESOME!! What a great idea!!

It really is amazing what warmer weather and sunlight does for the energy levels, isn't it?! I think moms are actually solar-powered.

hooray for sun...I am off for the March break and looking forward to going room by room to air out, clean, freshen...that is in between of course story time, craft time, maple maddness, museums in ottawa...everything Seamus "MUST" do!!! oh yeah, and with Gary working days AND nights for most of it... maybe the sun is making me delusional to think I can do it.. who knows!

I can already tell I like the dining room color..

the dresser is amazing! I was just thinking of doing something similar -- but on the ceiling of my living room. how odd, right? but it is the only ceiling on my upper level that is not that stucco stuff and it just sticks out! looks so awkward. I thought some kind of textured wallpaper, that I could even paint at a later date, might be interesting. wow -- you've inspired me!
