My Blog Party

Thanks for Stopping by my corner of the web.

Feel free to take a peek around. I'm all decked out in my girly party colours!!

Here...while you are looking, enjoy a cup of tea. If you are here in the evening why don't you enjoy some homemade pecan coffee cake or a glass of wine?

You see I'm all about Enjoying the Simple, beautiful things here on our country Homestead.

I've even pulled out my 'Anne of Green Gables' white flowing skirt from last summer.

We have lived here almost a year now, and I've learned so much already!!

You see we moved here from the subburbs and I'm turning into this Country, homeschooling, Chicken raising, All natural kind of lady.

O.K, so I'm not the person I EVER thought I would be, but I'm enjoying this Anne of Green Gables sort of life. In fact.....I'm loving it.

So come back soon and join me on my adventure!! I will let you have small glimpses into our day. You will also find me playing with my camera and taking pics like this.....

Or talking about my chickens.....

Or explaining how we get milk in these parts of the woods.

If you like, stop by next door as well. Here you will find my CRAZY athletic alter ego as I attempt to train for My FIRST MARATHON!!!

Not only am I PROUD TO BE COUNTRY, but I'm also PROUD TO BE A FIT MOM.Oh!!! I almost forgot....

Contest is now closed
Leave a comment on this post to let me know you were here. I will be RANDOMLY giving away an awesome gift of very...very AWESOME TEA and TEA ACCESORIES. Maybe some HOMEMADE BEAUTIFUL CLOTH NAPKINS as well.
No Blog? No problem. Just remember to check back at the end of the BLOG PARTY and I'll post your name.

Take Care and God Bless!

Yeah, 5M4M's site is blank for me, too. My guess is overload problems! Everyone wants to sign up on the very first day and it's causing server issues. Because I've never done this before, I was going to wait until I'd been to a few before I posted my party! Now, of course, I'll have to wait even longer!

Looks like yours is very similar to what I've got ready to post, so maybe I'll just go ahead. Even though I didn't need a party to meet you, I'm glad I found you. Yours is definitely one of the first ones I check every day!!!!

Hi!

Good luck with the marathon - that's an ambitious project!

You've got a great story, here - awesome pictures, too - but, my favorite has to be the one of your baby, up close, with a fishtail hanging out of that precious mouth.

Is that the Little Mermaid?

Have a great week and thanks for having me!

What a lovely blog - and I may be guilty of the sin of coveting your house AND your china. :>)

I'm a mom of 3, too, and am currently homeschooling the oldest, considering extending it to the 1st grader next.

Have a great party!

You make country life look so wonderful! And you're training for a marathon? Wow!! Good luck.

Good luck with the marathon. I would love to live in the country. I hate having so many close neighbors. I like to be able to walk outdoors for more than two steps. You are truly blessed.

Have a happy party!

Sounds like an entertaining sort of life. Not for me, though. I am such the city girl. If I didn't have Targets just down the way, I'm sure I would expire of... well, of something.

Hello! Seems like you and I have a bit in common. I don't have kids *yet* but am planning on going the cloth diapering route when I do. My parents used cloth diapers for my brothers and I and I am really looking forward to all the money I'll save, and how much less waste I'll produce. Thanks for the party :)

Sounds like you have a wonderful life! What a blessing. We are waiting for the day when we can move out to the country and have LOTS of space to run! We want to adopt, because we only have one son...a 14 year old. He's so ready to have brothers and sisters, and we're ready too!

I LOVE Anne of Green Gables. The simple life sounds really good to me right now!

If you get a chance, please stop by our party at The Downtown Boutique blog. We're giving away some fantastic things!

I'm here.
But I'm here a lot.
YOu live closer to Crazymom than me and reading your blog pulls me into her world a little bit more.
Plus, any Anne-girl is a friend of mine!

Tarasview said...

I love the anne of green gables skirt! We have a bit in common you and I... I too live in the country, have 3 kids (my sons are 5 & 4 and my daughter is 1) and I'm a babywearing mommy too. Except if I tried to run a marathon I would drop dead from exertion! I am a tragically non-fit mommy... but someday I hope to change that :) But I fully intend on waiting until the 3 feet of snow has melted outside. Its too darn cold to exercise!
Happy blog party!

It’s great to meet you Alyson! I grew up country and I must say that there really isn't anything like it! Some of my fondest memories are of hatching chicks and ducks! Oh gosh - then there's the new calves and foals! But I really hated 'cow' milk! I wanted mine in a jug! LOL I'm sure your kids will love it all too! Enjoy the party!

Hi. Nice blog. I don't have kids yet, but my husband and I are considering the homeschool thing or more likely private school, if we find that we are unsatisfied with the public schools in the area where we eventually settle down. Anyway, I think all homeschool moms are to be commended!
