Tired Days of Summer

I am seriously doing the best I can to keep this house clean and organized, take care of my kids, prepare for the baby, get the fall school schedule organized, deal with my chickens, feed my husband and not yell at him, do the groceries, and TRY to actually ENJOY the days God has given us together.....
But I'm tired. Really tired.
This is where you can find me in the afternoons and sometimes rainy mornings. Laying down and praying for the energy to do something...anything.
This week the meat chickens will be 'processed', and hopefully I'll get some cleaning and organizing completed. I just want to be ready to sit and be tired with the new baby and not have to worry about what needs to be done. Hmmmm I wonder if this baby will be two weeks over due just so I can complete the list. I wonder if that is a good thing?? Oh well. There is no sense in worrying. I'll just have a nap, wait for contractions to start and pray that someone comes along to clean my house and feed my family.

Awwww, my sympathies!! I haven't hit that point, although I don't have nearly as much to do as you, older children are a blessing in my life as never before! And the animals are not my job, they are the boys'. Messy houses can wait, and you know sometimes cereal makes a nice supper on a hot day!

Glad to hear those chickens will be gone before baby comes, though, and I bought that book, it has been a WONDERFUL help! Just to get me talking even. Thanks again!

When I was pregnant with my 4th child, my husband was promoted and was working in another city, he was only home on the week-ends. I worked as a teaching assistant in a middle school, so after working, picking up the kids, homework, supper and baths.. I would sit down to watch a little TV with the kids. Most nights they would wake me up around 8:30 and say,"Mommy, don't you think it's time to put us to bed?"

Just keep laying down when your body tells you to. If only I were closer - I would clean and cook for you :)
