Traditions

It's Maple syrup time here in Eastern Ontario. THIS is one of the reasons why I LOVE living here. Pancakes and maple syrup have become a staple in our family.

In fact, when Adam works a few day stretch, ALL I hear out of the girls is.... "Is Daddy going to be home tomorrow??" yes. " oh Goody!! Pancakes!!"

I actually think that Daddy making pancakes will be the thing they remember most about their childhood. Really.

So. What does a pancake/maple syrup loving family do on a GORGEOUS spring day? Visit the Sugar bush of course. There really is no other option.

Here are a few of my favorite pictures.....

I was comparing these pictures to last year, and although the girls are much bigger now, they are wearing the same hats ;)

Daddy and his little Buddy. I love the size difference in this picture.

No pancake house visit would be complete without the pancake shot.

Hard to believe that next year we will do this visit with a 7 year old, 5 year old, 2 year old, and 6 month old baby.

Fun! We will be enjoying pancakes this weekend too as we enjoy maple weekend. Last year was our first year doing it, and it was so much fun.

OH MY.

Sorry, but your recent mention of the closeness of our due dates coupled with the image of a six month old this time next year... I just wasn't prepared.

Syrup is yummy though, it's that time here in Maine too, Maple Sunday is coming right up whre the sugar houses invite the public to come check it all out!
