Beavers Be Gone

Big time on the farm the last few days. My Father in law hired a giant Hi-Ho to come dig out the beaver dams to allow the ditch to drain. While he is at it he just had the guy clear the entire ditch...I think that means the entire length of the farm. Why not. Use it while you got it I suppose.

Poor Beavers. They did not stand a chance against that mighty machine. (insert Mighty Machine music) The amount of water that started flowing was incredible!!! So incredible, that all the boys had to stand around and watch in the FREEZING COLD WIND. Very important to stand around and 'supervise'. Yup...pretty important stuff.

Girls on the other hand, find a patch of ice MUCH more interesting as you can see here behind me.


That's all I've got today. I have not been on here much lately as the wind is so incredibly BITING, BITTER AND FREEZE YOUR NOSTRILS COLD that I have not felt like taking pictures let alone posting anything worth while.

I DID manage to pick out a pretty nice colour for my dining room though. thank you for all your advice. I'm hoping to have it complete in the next couple of weeks.

Oh, and I DID manage to get this GREAT picture of my father in law. Man I LOVE that orange hat. really. It is just sooo...sooo....farmer. Don'tcha think? and really I don't mean that in a bad way. I think it captures him so well.
