Avian Flu the Coop??

(Since I have only about enough energy to right this post and then crawl back into bed, my husband is still doing an awesome job at holding down the fort....and my head out of the toilet)

Here is a conversation I found intruiguing today....

Me: So did you put the chickens to bed last night? (close the trap doors to the outside pen)

Husband: Yup.

Me: Did you check the outside blue coop to see if that one hen was roosting in there? She will freeze. you have to bring her into the big coop.

Husband: I did not see her

Me: Oh...So you had all the chickens in the coop??

Husband: I guess so. There is 23 brown ones right?

Me: Ummmmm no. 24 brown ones.

Husband: Oh...Um....well there is 23 now.

?????????????????????????????

God Bless Him, but how do you lose a chicken in an enclosed coop?

Natural Selection. You leave, make sure you are back by dark. There is nothing more to be said.
