This makes me smile. Why? Just look at the rubbed off patches of grass under the swings. Evidence of play. Evidence of innocence, and doing something just for the sake of doing it...over and over again and finding amusement in it every time. A reminder to enjoy. A reminder that life does not need to be complicated to be enjoyable.
Soon there will be three patches, and I can't wait.

ughggh strep throat...how come they won't take them out....each case is documented right?? they wanted me to have so many documented cases before they would do it.hope it doesn't take too long to heal this time.
My husand and I speak of how things in this world are way to complicated. We both grew up in the country and we just did not have what other kids had. NO video games etc. We are raising our kids to enjoy the simplicty of life as well.
Our swingset looks the same and today you gave me a totally different perspective.
I have a friend who won't put a swing up in his yard because he doesn't want his grass wrecked.
IT makes me a wee bit sad every time I think about it. Grass grows back and kids just grow up.
