Time went...by...So Slowly.

Time slowed down for me today. Such a nice change of pace. Actually I think it was the same pace, but for some reason the clock stopped to allow me to breathe and enjoy the day.

I managed to bake muffins, clean toilets, put away laundry, go to Yoga, make three meals, clean up the kitchen after all those meals, empty the dish washer, go over Lara's school year, check on the chickens, pick up the yard, AND... read my magazine for an HOUR, read to the girls for 45 mins, AND....sit down to write this blog.

Huh??? How? and I'm sure I'm forgetting the little stuff. Oh wait....I forgot to shower today. Oh well. There is always tomorrow. ;)

Seriously though, today was a perfect day for us. Perfectly imperfect of course. The best part of the day was reading my magazine while the baby slept and the two girls created costumes for a Jungle adventure. It was fun to watch and listen to them out of the corner of my eye playing and creating and having fun.

That is the reason I'm home. Good to get laundry done, but really...who cares about that. Being here and allowing their imaginations to take them wherever they want, and helping them grow is what it is all about.

So nice. I really needed that.

Wow, you got a lot done in your day. I love days where you get a lot accomplished yet you don't feel stressed out by the time you go to bed.

i agree. those days are nice. I had one of those days on sunday. also a bonus when the kids decide they are going to play super nicely together and independent from you for a bit.

What magazine?

Great day. Productive and restorative. Those are the best.

Now that your house is clean you're going to totally want to come play with me on Thursday--I'm having a "It's Real Life" fest! It'll be fun!
