What to do When you Don't know what to do

When the Barn caught on fire at 5am the other day, the neighbors (who are mostly relatives), jumped out of their beds to be by our side.

There was nothing anyone could do except cry and watch the blazing fire light up the dark sky.

So what do you do when you can't really do anything??

You bring Pie.

"Get the Pie! Get the Pie!"

At 5:30am you show up to our house with Pie.

Tee Hee.

I thought that was great.

What to do when you don't know what to do, but you NEED to do SOMETHING??

Bring Food. Or....clean something.

I must say...my house is sparkling these days ;)

That is too funny! And how true is that especially among country folk--when in doubt, bring pie!

Hi Alyson,
I just say your comment on Jessica's blog and it lead me here. I am so so sorry to read about the barn burning. I hope the insurance money comes quick. God is good and he will provide.

When in doubt, bring pies or casseroles ~ too true! But how wonderful to receive the outpouring of care and concern from friends, family, and neighbours.

I don't clean well when I'm feeling helpless; for me it's more when I'm angry. You can tell from the state of my house, that hubby and I haven't had a decent fight in a very long time....
