Drove 5 hours yesterday to pick up my husband. All three kids in tow. All went well. Even the snow stayed away until today.
It will be nice to have him home for an extra day this weekend. I keep thinking it is Saturday night already. What a treat!! I have another whole day!! yippee!!
I've been taking some amazing pictures with my new camera.
I can't show you of course because I need to upgrade my computer to get them off of it. Trust me though....they are pretty great. tonight I bathed all three kids and took some amazing naked butt shots :) Gotta love a naked baby butt. If not to zerbert, but to embarrass them when they are older :)
The great part was that it was ACTUALLY warm enough in the house to unravel ourselves from our 4 layers of clothing! The outdoor wood burning furnace seems to be doing the trick. Seriously....I'll have Lara take a pic (with my old camera) of me running out to put wood on the fire. I'll admit that I look ridiculous.
My chickens have not given me an egg in two days. I think I am going to have to get them a red heat lamp instead of the one I have. They are up all night thinking it is daylight in the coop. Apparently they are colour blind and can't distinguish red from black so maybe with the new lamp they will sleep better. I'll let y'a know.

I'm so jealous of your boiler!! We were promised 10 cords of firewood a month ago and still haven't seen hide nor hair of it. Unfortunately, this time of year there just isn't a lot of wood available anymore. Well, not cut stuff anyway! Right now, I'm sitting here at the computer with two pairs of socks on, heavy slippers, a long-sleeved thermal T-shirt, a short-sleeve T-shirt over top as well as a heavy cardigan. I miss the woodstove heat! I got so used to running around in bare feet last winter and now I'm just FREEZING!!!!!
I can hardly wait to see the pictures from your new camera! I actually just ordered myself an upgrade (had enough AirMiles!) so that hubby can take my current one up north with him this winter. I had to ship it to my parents' address though, so I will have to wait until Christmas.
Ah, I love cutie baby butt, too! I think I've made it too obvious to my girls though because every time my youngest wears a dress, she'll whip off her underwear, hike up the dress, and wiggle her butt in the mirror!!! (I have pictures to prove it, but I'm not sure that's acceptable blogging fodder!)
