SOMETHING WICKID THIS WAY COMES

WHY DID THE FAMILY OF SKUNKS TRY TO CROSS THE ROAD???

TO COME OVER TO OUR HOUSE!!!!!

I WAS NOT ABOUT TO GET UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL, SO I'M HIDING BEHIND A TREE. MAN I WISH I HAD A BETTER CAMERA.(ANOTHER HINT HINT)

For little stinkers they sure are cute. The black and white is so bold and furry looking. I just want to reach out and pet them, but I'm not that stupid. So cute though.

One thing about living in the country is I get to be in contact with so many bugs and animals. What I am not used to is the fact that you MUST kill some of them. Coyotes outside the window...need to be shot....Skunks and Racoons in the barn....not so good. Who knew that Coyotes eat cats?? Certainly not the naive suburbanite in me.
All part of the circle of life around here I suppose. Kill or be killed. Oh how barbaric. The vegetarian in me is cringing.

As much as I have been eating meat lately, I have been able to ignore the fact that it was once a cute little cow that looks just like our adorable but nosey neighbors across the road. Not so easy to ignore now.

God is good though and he didn't design the world without it's meat eating animals to control the population. But do we have to be part of that??? Really. Why do I have to become aware of how you 'get rid of those varmins'.....

Makes me want to be naive again.

Oh dear, skunks. Wouldn't want to run into one of those. Although they are kind of cute. Hope you having a great day.

Oh, I feel for you!! I've blogged about skunks a couple of times this spring already too. Nasty buggers. There's at least one more that needs to be 'taken care of' around here -- our dog stinks pretty badly after visiting some old buildings on the neighbour's yard the other day. Gross. Skunks, porcupines, coyotes -- you gotta love country life!!!!

Maybe the skunks heard that your family feeds all the cats in the neighborhood and have just come over for a bowl of milk. At any rate, if you do end up shooting them, make sure you close all your windows first!

Have a good day,
Alana

Now you know why farmers carry guns.
I have a fox in my yard right now and yesterday had a moose in the wheat field.

Aww-w-w-w-w - so cute! Gotta love skunks.

Coyotes too. I know the prevailing view is that they should be shot but even if I were a farmer, I wouldn't. Yup, they eat cats - exhibit A - our neighbours' kitty who just mysteriously disappeared.

Love, N.

Eeeew, skunks! They are cute, though, aren't they?
It's good to have you back!

We had skunks living under our shed - no matter how cute they are, they're a pain. They tore up our lawn and they stink. And we live in the burbs! ;)
