Fellow Bloggers Unite!!

I've come to the conclusion that blogging was invented by stay at home mothers. It is such an amazing creative outlet and a way to connect with other people who feel the same way out there!

I like it much better than playgroup I have to say. At playgroup I get tired of women trying to pretend like they just love running after screaming children all day and pretending they are the 'perfect mom'....So anoying...especially when you are at playgroup for the fact that you want your kids to leave you alone for a while so you can converse about something other than Dora the Explorer.

When face to face with another mom we tend to just talk well...kids. I find it so rare that we dive into the depths of our imaginations, talk about important issues and remind ourselves that we really are fascinating women with brains that think about more than drool and poop.

I like the fact that I can say whatever I want really (to an extend) about whatever subject I feel like writing about and I don't have to listen to people who disagree with me. I don't always feel like a two way conversation when I'm sitting here in my pink bathrobe drinking my morning tea anyway. But I do always like to put my thoughts out there and state my opinion about things.

I find it is also a way to validate ourselves. To show whoever choses to listen how much goes on in our lives on a daily basis. There is such a misconception about stay at home moms, and homeschooling ones at that. We want you to read that our lives are full of fun moments, and are so much busier than you think.....We just want to feel validated. We want others to say wow you are a great mom, teacher and keeper of your home. Your husband is so lucky to have you, and you really are the glue that keeps your family together.....O.K so I can't really speak for other moms but that is how I feel sometimes. Call it selfish but I need a little validation every once in a while.

People can choose to read what they want, laugh at me if they chose and move on with their day. Most of the time I find positive comments thanking me for saying what is on my mind...most of the time. Even if they are negative at least you are reading it and thinking about it. That is the point isn't it? To use our brains and connect with others?? To show the world just how amazing and fascinating we are??

So it is my pleasure to grace your morning with my thoughts if you so chose to read me on a daily basis. I take comfort in the fact that there are other people out there that are Saying You go sister!!!

I usually find myself fascinated with peoples blogs whose lives are crazier than mine. The women with more kids than me, living the Godly lifestyle I'm trying to achieve. I love to get a little glimpse into their day and to realize that although I would love to be them, they have crappy days too...and that is o.k.

Most of the time it is just a nice way to start my day. A little tea time and a chuckle at the little things we find funny in our days. It is my chance to stop, slow down and remember how wonderful it is to be sitting here in my bathrobe drinking tea and get myself and my kids dressed whenever I feel like it. Staying at home was my choice and even if I am having a grumpy day it was the best choice I have ever made :)

Thank you for that daily reminder my fellow bloggers :)

Alyson, what a brilliant post! Thank you for making my day.

I stay away from playgroups for the same reason!!

Hang in there, as my doctor always says when I am nearing the end of my pregnancy. He has never know a baby to stay in FOREVER...even if it seems like it.

I am so excited for you! Whenever that time will be, will be in God's perfect timing.

I couldn't have said it better... And, I couldn't agree more!

I have been so blessed by all of the wonderful women out there who take the time to blog and truly share from the heart. My blogger mom friends sometimes seem so much more REAL than most "real life" friendships!

Isn't God good! He knows exactly what we need and has allowed such a world to exist to bring encouragement, joy and friendship to so many of us keeper-of-the-home-homeschoolin'-mommies!

Blessings to you this day! I am praying that baby Peyton arrives soon!
