The power of a colour :)

Wow, note to self...Never give the girls the wrong sippy cups !!

They woke up this morning and both started playing their little people house in the family room so nicely. I got their apple juice for them just like I do every single morning. Only normally the routine is they sit together on the big green chair and watch cartoons. So I just plopped the sippy cups beside them on the floor and continued to make my tea. To be honest, I don't know which colour was closer to which girl. (give me a break. I have not had my tea yet)

All I hear a minute later is screaming and pushing!! Hmmm did I put the red one too close to Erin? I don't know. All I know is she was determined to have the red one and of course this was not going to fly with Lara. Some yelling....than screaming....than hair pulling....than tears!!! All in about 10 seconds.

I took both sippy cups away with a look of 'you've got to be kidding me'.... Lara bolts into the kitchen crying I NEEEEEEEED the red one!!!! While Erin decided she was now mad at the little people so they were being kicked all over the room.

I told Lara she was being ridiculous and that it was just a colour with the same juice in it. I told her to give the red one to her sister and do the right thing. She did....they appologized to each other and all is good.
Of course Lara is sulking upstairs by herself and Erin is now watching cartoons holding quite tightly to that sippy cup.

At least the sun is shinning and I can take them to church and hand them over to their sunday school teachers :)
