Update....

Heart Melting.....Not so much. Not when she rips a bible, pulls DOWN the baby gate, drinks out of the toilet, climbs up on the piano, gets up on the computer desk and writes on my papers, throws a plate and breaks ANOTHER tea pot. No I don't leave these things in reach and yes I watch her. She is QUIET, QUICK and moves furniture to suit her purposes.

Oh I so so get what you are saying.. hard to feel sometimes those heartwarming feelings when something else is broken, smashed, torn, ripped, stepped on, shattered...

Mahone is SO SO that kid, but lately we have had to just speak different words over him. I know it sounds wonky, but even though he is so so destructive and crazy (at least Audrey is curious and QUIET-that's a bonus)... Even in those moments that he is screaming at me and tearing one more thing, I am trying to say what a good boy he is, how gentle he is, how nice, how soft with his hands.. I know it sounds delusional-and it may be-but hey, at this point, I would try anything.
Good luck with that little one.. and as someone whose things she is not breaking--she really is a cute as a button..

sounds like my 17 month old daughter was at your house! hey...hitch-hiking is about the only thing she hasn't done! She's a full time job this one. It's hard to find the balance between allowing her curiousity of the world to flourish....and super-gluing her diapered butt to the floor so that I can get anything done! LOL
