A Moment like This

I was having a bad day today. It was just a day when all I could see was laundry, vacuuming and a lifetime of service to 4 little people. It was a day when the reality that even if I decided to put Audrey into Grade School I would have SIX more years of parenting little people all day and everyday. This task seemed daunting. I needed space. I needed a little freedom. I got that when I allowed myself to head to Winners to peruse the racks and just be with myself. It was refreshing.
Not quite as refreshing as when while folding laundry with Audrey strapped to me, she nuzzled into my chest and went to sleep. It made all the laundry, cleaning, nose wiping and SERVICE worth it. It was a reminder of why I stay home with my babies. So I can be the one to comfort them. To nurture them. To teach them. To enjoy and appreciate moments like this.
