The girls experienced their first 'running in the rain' rain. You know the kind. The kind where in 30 seconds you are soaked because the rain in falling down so hard. The kind where the puddles grow fast and the water flows rapidly.
The kind where you experience an intense thrill for the 5 minutes that it lasts.
So fun to watch.
Inside the house was lit with candles in the middle of the day. The atmosphere was cozy and heart warming. Comforting and nurturing. I waited for them at the door with warm towels and a warm lunch. Greeted them with the same excitement they were feeling as I recalled when I was a kid and danced in the streets with my best friend....but glad I was on the other side ;)
I'm glad I could give them that experience. I'm glad I was the one on the other side of the towel sharing in their happiness and making them feel loved.
IT WAS LOVE WRAPPED UP IN A SOFT FUZZY TOWEL.
