A Trip to the Woods...and Back In Time

We live on a few hundred acres of farmland. This farm land includes some small hills,rocks and forest. Our favorite FAMILY activity is to take a tractor/wagon ride out to the forest, and walk in the woods.

So...off we went, Grandma and Dog in tow.


The weather was perfection! The crisp air was perfect for my husband who inevitably ended up carrying two of our three children. What...did he think he would ACTUALLY get to walk by himself?? Oh ha ha ha ha ha

I like how Lara's sweater matches these leaves.

Along the way, and at the top of the hills, we discovered a bunch of rocks that have been placed by my husband over 20 years ago when he and his buddies would traipse through the forest and drink...soda.
Grandma led the way. Man that woman is in good shape. This picture does not do the scenery justice. We were on top of a large cliff looking out onto the valley below.
I love this picture. It is so busy, but captures the moment. My poor husband the pack horse.
I would have had some better shots but OF COURSE, my camera batteries decided they had enough.
