Heirloom Quality

I 'm very happy today. Not only was it a fantastic fall day and we were able to spend it as a family, but I received this package in the mail!! Oh I love packages!! Especially ones that are family heirlooms.

This cutlery was my grandma's on my father's side. They were a wedding present over 60 years ago. I am surrounded here with my husbands family's heirlooms so I am so happy to finally have something that I can pass down from my side.
See the pattern?? The pattern has Roses on it. The significance of this is that my grandma's name is Rosie. My middle name is thus Rose, and so are the middle names of my two girls.

Yay to history. Yay to eating with the same utensils that many before us shared a meal with. Yay to continuting my family's history and name.
