By Thurs I have one or two things left, and by Friday I am (usually) finished. Finished the laundry, the groceries, the dusting, organizing ect...
Of course there is ALWAYS the picking up of toys, cooking, cleaning of the kitchen, wiping of noses ect. These chores don't count because frankly they have become part of me. I do these things as though on auto pilot....so they don't count.
ANYWAY... I start the week off a little more stressed and panicky, and by the end I am much calmer and satisfied. Saturdays are open to whatever, and Sundays I avoid 'chores' as much as I can. SO...what I am getting at here is that today is/was Thursday. So...I was able to finish up all my 'chores' and slow down a little more.
I like that.
I really like that.
It makes me happy.
So here are some pictures from the moments I was able to enjoy today.
And Tomorrow??? Tomorrow is Friday and since all those chores are finished the kids get my complete and undivided attention. Tomorrow I get to read to them more and tickle their plump soft bellies all day if I want to....or push them on the swings all day because they want me to.
I am making it a PRIORITY. a 'chore' to cross off the list to spend one day a week with my attention COMPLETELY on them and focused on them.
I like that.
I think they like it too.

It sure is nice to see you realize life in the country is soooo much better for kids then in the city.
In regard to the chickens, welcome to the reality of farming.
Dad
Bravo!
Love the pics
I so need to make this my attitude, too. I know my girls don't get nearly enough of my undivided attention. I think I've done better this summer, but probably only because there are fewer demands on me. I really need to make a conscientious effort so I can keep it up throughout the year.
Hooray! I love getting my list done too. I really like having it be weekly instead of daily. i do so much better with that!
Love playing in the hay!
