Back and Recovering

I'm back, and I'm now tackling a huge pile of laundry and staring at the dust on the shelves. I'll get to it. Eventually. Maybe the dust will decide to just walk away and hide under my bed. That would be nice.

Took the girls to Santa's Village up in Bracebridge Ontario. Up north in Muskoka Cottage county...not the North Pole.

It was a BLAST!!! The camping part anyway.
I can cart my kids around the kiddie rides and fake enthusiasm for only so long. I am just not 'one of those moms'. The ones that love to cart their children everywhere and watch them experience things that I've done over and over again.
Oh wait. Yes I do. Kind of. O.k so maybe it was the few too many bailey's I consumed around the campfire the night before that put a damper on my spirits. I got over it. Especially after the park offered free coffee.
Seriously... it was a great time.

Their personalities really shone through. My daredevil middle child went all out on the roller coaster, mini drop zone, and wild rides....check out the grin!!

And then there was my oldest on the Roller Coaster. I love this picture taken by our friend in front of us. It is small because I stole it off his facebook page. Anyway, the entire time poor Lara was wondering if it was over yet. Poor kid. I guess thrill rides are just not her thing. After a change of undies and some sugar, she perked up a bit.

Here is a pic of me and Hug re-enacting the Bailey's commercial. The one with the flaming marshmellow. I have to say that I think this was my favorite part ;)

Here are the girls on the mini drop zone...and when I say mini...I mean mini. Notice who is NOT there. Poor Lara...Tee Hee
Here I am being all Campy and washing my face in some nice hot water. We really roughed it I tell y'a ;) Actually while packing, I had to remind myself that I was NO LONGER in the military and that I could ACTUALLY bring luxury items like soap. And finally...a pic of us girls. Aimee's Husband was the only man around...poor fella. Peyton? He was with Grandma, and Adam had to work. Hug (Aime's hubby) did really well putting up with us all.
That's it. Now I'm off to fold laundry.

Sounds like you had lots of fun. Great way to end summer before school starts.

Glad you had fun! I'm sure the girls were super happy to be back together again.

How did Grandma and Peyton survive?

So how DOES the flaming marshmallow taste doused in Bailey's?! I'd forgotten about that commercial already but both hubby and I thought that would probably be awesome!

Looks like you had a great time!
