Tackling dirty laundry. Alyson's Housekeeping methods.

I found my all important 20 cup coffee percolator at the camping store. Now whatever happens weather wise....we will survive ;)

Meanwhile I am surviving that pile of completely mud caked clothing I left in the garage the other day. I just could not handle it. The girls 'swimming' in the mud was just more than I could take that day.

Time to tackle THAT.

This is what I did. I know...laugh all you want, but my outdoor hose is frozen and I don't have a nice laundry tub. What can I say...I'm creative...and lazy.

First, I stared at the pile in dismay...

Then I tossed it into the shower...

Then I turned the shower on...

and let all the muddy sand go down the shower drain, but catch the rocks.

Then I tossed the clothes into the washing machine, and stared at the now dirty shower.

A little running of the shower and minutes later it was clean again.
Ahhhh I am so smart.

That's so funny because I have a pair of Emi's pants covered in mud soaking in a basin in my bathroom. Problem is that they've been soaking for a few days because I just don't feel like scrubbing mud out of pink corduroys. I'm glad I'm not the only one!
