Nope...sleeping like a rock had nothing to do with hubby being home. I woke up this morning with a severe headache, fever/chills, and very..very achy.
Peyton slept through the night from 6pm to 6am for the first time. That's my boy...anticipating all my needs ;) He knew mommy needed to sleep.
So...on top of the serious food poisoning sounding symptoms (I left out the yucky parts), My basement flooded today. Apparently the outdoor furnace pipe has a leak in one of the joints (humph). This would not have been so bad if my sump pump was working....however THEN the power went out....all day....Did I mention I am really...REALLY SICK TODAY??? OH, and for you city folk...that also means my water was not running since we are on a well.
Oh...and the wind is so strong it ripped off my screen door!!
I just wanted to crawl into a hole and stay there all day. But of course I couldn't, because three little people apparently need to be fed and all that stuff.
I have to say, they did great and every once in a while kissed my hot burning forehead and tucked me in on the couch.
I am still proud to be country by the way. I know God has a plan for us here. Perhaps to test my limits?? To show me I am a survivor? Who knows...who cares. Tomorrow I am choosing JOY no matter what life sends me.
If you don't hear from me in a few days that just means a Tornado has blown through. I'll be alright...really...
Tomorrow our adventure will be to venture outside to find all my lawn furniture.

I hope you are feeling better today!
Oh no. Sorry you're not feeling well and everything seems to be going wrong. Thankfully the wind seems to have stopped where we are - hopefully yours has too.
Take care and hope you're feeling better really soon!
Oh, boy...when it rains, it pours huh?
I'll be praying for a speedy recovery for you...oh, and for the furnace. :) :)
Ugh, doesn't it totally suck that even our water depends on electricity?! We're in the same boat and I always panic just a little when the power goes out. Not being able to flush the toilet indefinitely pretty much always makes me have to use it more!! (sorry, TMI)
Interesting how it all seems to happen at once, eh? I hope you'll feel better soon, that the necessary repairs to your pipes will happen in a timely fashion, that the basement clean-up will go smoothly, and that you'll find all your lawn furniture!!
