I have lost my voice completely. I can speak but I have to yell and even then what comes out can only be heard by stray dogs. Whispering is o.k but does not work well over the phone.
I have however discovered something new.
To 'communicate' with my kids I don't need to yell!
Isn't that wonderful? I really CAN be that strong silent type. You know, the mommy that does not need to yell at her kids to get them to listen. The one that can make her kids sit up straight with a glance...
Who knew that the raised eyebrows, bulging eyes, red face, throbbing veins and arms flailing around are enough for my kids to understand that whatever they may be doing at the time... Might not be such a great idea.
I'm such a good mom ;)

Ah, the universally understood MOM sign language!! I'm having a bit of fun picturing the scene in my head... ;)
Hope your voice returns soon!!
Hmm, I tried to comment, but it said it didn't go through. I'll try this again! Hope your voice feels better soon. I'm glad you had it for your birthday party!
I've created a google account. I'm now MomOfTheCrazies. (I'm so computer challenged!)

Ha! Fun times, right? I lost my voice about a month or two ago, and I realized the same thing...and that kids will, most of the time, whisper back to you. :)
Hope your voice comes back soon!!!
The pen (keyboard) is mightier than the vocal chord. You rite good.
How is your voice today?
