Had a bonfire with a girlfriend of mine. So fun. The stars were out, the conversation flowed....until the coyotes surrounded us from the 'forest' that is on our property.
O.K so that was a little too close to country for my taste.
No worries..I'm sure the twigs we picked up to defend ourselves against a coyote attack would have helped...ya right.

new comment cause I'm not sure if last one went through. Re coyotes - don't laugh but I think the coyotes were only there because they were curious and wanted to check you out. I so wish I had been there! A book called Prodigal Summer tells a lot about 'em and is a beautiful book.
Glad you had a nice evening with your friend...although the coyotes would have freaked me out! LOL
Thanks for calling to share your story ... so sad that you lost a good glass of wine as you ran for your life! They may have been there b/c they were curious about you or hungry for chicken but I think you made the right call headin' for the house!
How scary that must have been. Did they just run off? Yeah, i would definitely say that is to close for comfort. Glad you guys are ok.
