Warm Fuzzies VS Uncomfy Slinkies

It is 7pm and all three kids are sleeping. Such a blessing since they did not nap and Peyton has had a bad day.
I still have so much to do but like yesterday it is just going to have to wait a little longer.
So I am sitting here with my feet up on the desk looking out my nice window. Ahhhhh

I went to La Senza today (yes with all three kids) to pick something 'nice' for my anniversary. I had a gift certificate that I had received for delivering Peyton but I have been saving it until I felt ready to fit into something slinky (sorry dad)....and thank you Alana for the gift :)
Anyway I could not make up my mind for the life of me. So I decided to wait and let Adam pick something for me (again...sorry Dad). That was when I saw them!!!! The perfect new slippers!!

That is what you see here on my feet. THEY ARE NOT AT ALL WHAT I WAS GOING FOR but they are PERFECT! (Sorry Hunny :) They are so comfy and warm. I think they look pretty cute with my pink frilly skirt don't y'a think??
So comfort won over not so comfortable ride up your butt slinky...go figure :) I'm happy...and my happiness means happy husband so really....the slippers are for him no?
Makes perfect sense to me!!!

Oh by the way...This is my Pink Long Cordoroy skirt. It is so girly and feminine and is great for the fall.
I'll admit that it is a little 'Home on the Prairie', but it was my mother's so it feels awesome to wear it. She wore it 30 years ago when she was a mom of little ones. I think she made it herself but I'm not sure. I think next to my girly white skirt it is my favorite.

Moral of this story (I'm stretching things here).....Happy Wife equals Happy Husband. O.K that is not really a moral, just a conclusion and I'm not sure where I'm going with that.

The slippers could still work for your anniversary ... if they are all you're wearing ;) (sorry Alyson's dad and you're welcome Adam)

Good for you and your feet. A happy wife does make a happy hubby.

I'm glad you found something you love. You're right...Happy Wife, Happy Life. You're brave to take all the kids to La Senza by yourself!

Did you hear I sprained my ankle? I could use your slippers these days!

Have a good day!
Alana
