Grateful but embarrassed city girl in the country

Just when I say 'don't worry she won't cross the road'....of course she goes to head right across the road in front of a huge truck.

My bubble was burst today. my country safety bubble. I was too comfortable. Good thing the smarter country farmer was there to grab my little girl.

I am humiliated, humbled, and grateful.

If I was not so caught up about chickens I may not have forgotten about the little people dearest to me. I'm sorry. Today was my turn to be a terrible mom.

Children can be so delightfully unpredictable, can't they? You think you know how they're going to act and react in certain situations, and then.... not. I'm thankful she wasn't hurt. You're a wonderful mother whose kid just chose to buck the trend today and try something new and exciting!

Alyson, you are not a terrible Mom. You are a busy Mom...

We all have days like this! Glad everybody is OK!

*hugs*

So glad your peanut is OK. Hope you're OK too! There truly is nothing more frightening than your child in danger or potential danger.

I'm glad to hear everyone is safe. Don't ever think you're a terrible mom; you're the furthest thing from it! But I know the horrible feeling you get in your stomach when there's a close call. It makes you appreciate guardian angels (sometimes in the form of country farmers!)
