We still need to finish spray painting it a shiny silver so it looks nice and new, and some day we plan on putting a flag at the top. No not a rebel flag...we are not THAT country. A nice patriotic canadian flag.
This is my first line of clothes hanging....cloth diapers and all :) No they are not spreading poop today so they should smell all country fresh. I'm not really sure what that smell is if it does not invole poop though. I'll let you know when I take it down.

What a beautiful picture! So homey and old-fashioned and peaceful and dreamy. Like a soft, sentimental blast from the past. Until I saw this picture, I would never have switched away from using my dryer, but I dunno...
OK! I am having a jealous moment...we are not allowed clothing lines in our subdivision. Darn it.

I tell ya, I'm downright tempted to string one up after seeing this picture!! Do you use fabric softener in your wash? I think the reason I've never been interested is because when I was 12, I lived with my aunt for a couple of weeks in summer during harvest (she had 9-month old twin boys) and she used a clothes line and her dried clothes were stiff as a board and terribly rough. I vowed once I was old enough to control how the laundry got done, they would never feel like that! I lived in the city until 5 years ago, so a line wasn't even a possibility until very recently. You've sure got me thinking, though!!
WE have no backyard to speak of and I TOTALLY miss my clothesline! The sun is the best stain remover ever! I love your pole! Way to go!
Oh and Cathy, drop a note to your developer, in today's day and age, clotheslines save energy and are very environmentally friendly, and many communities are changing the rules!

Now that's a clothes line! I have a 4 sided one that "passes" for a clothes line and for the 2 of us, it works quite well. My favourite thing to take in off the line after drying-my white towels, all crunchy and absorbent. I just love that! Happy Hanging kindred spirit. Allyson with 2-ll's
