Had our friends over for our small group bible study last night just as we do every Sunday evening. We decided it was time to share our personal testimonies with each other.
Our testimonies are an account of our lives and how we came to the point where we are and how we came to accept Christ into our lives.
It was great to hear all of our stories and amazing how different they all were!
We all have a life journey ,and it is neat to sit and listen to someone recall how they got to be where they are in life.
Looking back on our lives we could really see how God was working in our hearts the entire time and was right there with us through our trials whether or not we chose to accept that he was there. More importantly we also recognized how we are continuing to grow and that our journey is far from over.
I loved hearing how all the couples ended up marrying our spouses. How the Lord really set us up to be together. I am always curious to see how and why certain people end up together and it was so obvious and fascinating last night.
I am so glad that I have stuff like small groups in my life. They have been such an important part of my growth as a Christian. To fellowship and learn together about what the Bible says about life situations. Whether we are studying a chapter in the Bible or learning how to have stronger marriages, the support and guidance of other christians in my life has been valuable.
Also to have a group of people that are praying for us and keeping us accountable to stay on track with living a Godly marriage has been vital.
Life throws us curvballs and frankly life's struggles and 'stuff' get in the way all the time. I don't know what I would do if I had to try to walk my Christian walk all alone.
Thank God I don't have to. Thank God I am never alone :)
